Traveling to St Malo, France
By Air
There is an airport 13 km away from St Malo (Dinard–Pleurtuit–Saint-Malo Airport) with limited flights from France and the UK.
The next closest airport with regular flights is Rennes, France (RNS). Flying into Paris (CDG) and taking the train to St Malo is also a great option.
The airport in Rennes (RNS) is an hour away from St Malo by train, bus or car. The train station is not at the RNS airport but is an 20 minute taxi ride away (~20 euros). Public transit it also an option.
Perhaps the best option is to fly into Paris CDG airport and then take the train to St Malo. There is a train station in the CDG airport and there are direct trains to St Malo from there. Some trains will switch in Rennes but it's ideal to book a train (when you book your flight) direct to St Malo.
By Train from Paris or Rennes
Saint-Malo's train station is an easy 20-min walk straight down Avenue Louis Martin to the Intramuros (walled city). There are a few direct TGV services daily from Paris (Gare de Montparnasse), which take about three hours. Most travelers, however, will end up connecting in Rennes, from where there are hourly commuter services (50 min) to Saint-Malo.

There are several large carparks surrounding the old walled city (intramuros) which are well sign-posted and not expensive for parking.
By Ferry
From the UK you can arrive from Poole on Condor Ferries. Leaving from Portsmouth with Brittany Ferries. From Jersey & Guernsey you can take Condor Ferries which offers direct routes from both islands. With Condor Ferries, from Poole it takes from 6 to 13 hours depending on the time & date of travel.
